I use hormonal contraception. Can I still take the test?

It depends on the method. Under the pill, hormonal ring, patch, implant or three-monthly injection, the test is not meaningful for the hormone values, because these methods suppress exactly the hormone production we want to measure. With PMOS, the pill is at the same time one of the most common treatments, which is the hardest part of this question: please don't stop it just for this reason — speak to your doctor first. After stopping, the test is meaningful after two natural cycles.

If you are not planning to stop your contraception and PMOS is on your mind: a Full Body Check-up or Cardio-Metabolic Check-up could give a pretty good picture of whether your metabolism already shows signs of the typical consequences of PMOS.

With a hormonal IUD the test is possible, because in most cases your cycle continues.
