Usually not. A hormone profile is mostly ordered in a gynaecological consultation only when there is a specific suspicion, or when fertility treatment is coming up. Without that reason, an AMH value is rarely part of the routine. Then there is the matter of specialisation: a gynaecologist is not automatically a hormone specialist. Our four gynaecologists at care work with female hormones every day and continue to train in the field on an ongoing basis – from Cycle Health through Fertility and Perimenopause to PMOS. You are free to pass your report on to your own gynaecologist at any time.
